ROBERT LEONARD SASKO (Age 87)
Of Lewes, DE (formerly of Hyattsville, MD), died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at home surrounded by his loved ones.He leaves his wife, Doris (Wilberding) Sasko of 64 years, preceded in death by Kathy (Sasko) Connolly and her husband, Robert Connolly. Father of Robert (Debbie) Sasko, Michael (Margie) Sasko and Theresa (Kevin) Galloway. He was a grandfather of seven and great grandfather of four.Mr. Sasko was a 1948 graduate of Central High School (Washington, DC). He served a short term in the U.S. Navy and coached football in Hyattsville, Mt. Rainier-Brentwood Boys Club (HMB) for 13 years. He was an avid boater, fisherman and golfer. Mr. Sasko was also a member of the American Legion Post 28 and Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966. Those that wish to express their condolences to the family may arrive at the church 30 minutes in advance of the service. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Robert Sasko to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.Online condolences may be made by visiting: www.melsonfuneralservices.com
