He was my doctor for many, many years. He put up with my aversion to tests and my fear of radiation. Once when I did something he recommended, he was amazed! He was brilliant and kind. When his family got their (first?) dog, a Westie, he was over the moon and we had many talks about the wonders of dogs. I cannot believe he is no longer with us. A great loss to the DC area.

Tom Sacks was my Doctor for many decades. I adored him. His concern and love for helping others was evident in every interaction. When he retired, it was to spend more time with his family. I sincerely hope his last years brought everyone the warmth and happiness he and his loved ones deserved. I am saddened to learn of his passing. He will be long remembered as a very good man.

I met Tom in 1981 when I was first in DC. He was an incredibly kind, gifted, and intuitive clinician who understood that medicine is science, art, and humanity. He loved his family and cared deeply for all his patients. He will be missed by all.

A wonderful, warm, kind man and a great doctor who applied that warmth, kindness, and greatness personally and professionally, always listening to his patients and to his friends and making all feel better for having known him. He will be greatly missed.

I met Tom in 1967 when we started medical school at Tufts. We were both active in the Student Health Organization doing community health projects. He was the only person in our class who had actively worked in the civil rights movement. He was a kind and generous man.
