TIMOTHY VEOLA RICHARDS, SR.
On Friday, September 5, 2014, Timothy Veola Richards Sr. of Clinton, MD peacefully transitioned after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Bernadette Richards; father of Toney Young Sr., Tichelle Richards and Timothy Richards Jr.; grandfather of Toney Young Jr. and Jaylyn Locke; four sisters, Renee (James), Michelle, Victoria and Crystal (Gary); two brothers, Stanley (Chereace) and Cornell (Solina); brothers-in-law, Calvin (Lynnette), Steven and John; sister-in-law, Lisa; a devoted mother-in-law Shirley Young-Parker, four godsons and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 7 to 9 p.m. at J.B. Jenkins Funeral Home, 7474 Landover Rd., Hyattsville, MD and on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Glenarden Minsitry Center, 3600 Brightseat Rd, Glenarden, MD. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.

Tim was such a gentle man! I enjoyed working with him in Guest Services at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. Tim fought a brave and courageous fight for many years! I am sending condolences to his family and friends. RIP, Tim. You deserve this eternal peace and rest.

I lost a friend, brother but I know that he is in a better place; no pain or worries. He left a legacy touching many people's life in some form. He was truly a family man. If you knew Tim you know that somewhere in that conversation he had something to say about his family. I'll miss those everyday calls, Friday breakfast but I know that he is looking over me pushing me to that straight line that we talked about following. It is so hard to talk about Tim Bob because he was the go to person when I needed someone to vent or just needed advice. We would just lean on each other. It was the Four Omegos and now we are down to two. It just seem like yesterday when everyone was sitting around and Tim didn't really mean to tell on me letting my wife know what we ate when we went to breakfast but it slipped and we all laughed. He will truly be missed; GOD received another angle to look over all that he touched. RIP Tim Bob Love You

I have known you since Lincoln Jr. High and we remained friends since then. You were an awesome person then and remained so over the years. Tim, I truly believe you were handpicked by God to do his work and you did so, so awesomely in how you handled your illness and helped others who suffered in the same way. You paved the way for so many others that will come after you and I'm sure that was God's intent. Your work here has been fulfilled and that was probably in preparation for what he has in-store for you now. I am happy for you that you are no longer in pain but my condolences to the Richards Family for losing one of their Stars.

Beloved Bernadette, Michelle, Cookie, Papoose, Stan and the rest of the Richards family and extended family:
The news of Tim's passing was bittersweet. A Life Well Orchestrated by God Almighty!
Heartbreaking for those whom he held very close and dear in his heart, (especially you Bernadette).
Yet, an unexplained peace in knowing that God allowed each of you the extended time needed to spend with Tim, until He saw that it was time to send His Angels to guide him home.
This is a HUGE loss for those left behind, but a MONUMENTAL gain for Our Heavenly Father.
You all know that he was greeted by Vernon aka "Squsie" as soon as he arrived.
I have always shared this heartfelt quote with many of my friends and family who have suffered such a great loss as yours.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
I will never forget that quote which I found comforting back in 2007 when I suffered such a great loss.
The absence of Tim will be painful, but the memory of your life with him, will infinitely be in your hearts and minds.
