WILLIAM DAVIS Obituary
WILLIAM CLYDE DAVIS, III
William Clyde Davis III, father, grandfather, retired Xerox executive, motivator and playful instigator, lost his battle to pancreatic cancer November 5, 2014. Also known as "Pops", he was passionate about his family and friends - loved spending time with them and was a very engaged grandparent. Bill's hallmark was his amazing wit with a sense of humor that never waned. He was unconventional and had a larger than life personality, as anyone who had met him would attest. A creative writer and storyteller, he wrote memorable keepsake letters and shared his legendary stories. He used this talent in providing counsel to his closest friends and family, and had a knack for making those he touched feel understood and important. His extensive knowledge, hobbies and interests included painting, singing (notably Johnny Cash songs), gardening, roses, pumping iron, cars, women, cooking, dive bars, brunch at the Breakers, garage sales and family. He is survived by his children, Nancy, Tim and William IV; his siblings, Bob, Marilyn and Jocelyn) and his grandchildren, Chase, Dakota, Jacqueline, Jessica and Hunter. He will be missed. We are thankful for the many memories and the laughter. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Money & King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA. I will always remember Bill and his beautiful roses to brighten our days at Xerox. He was truly "Precious". So sorry for your loss. Bill was one of a kind.

Bill was a part of our family for many years and my heart, sympathy and prayers go out to all of his family, his children (Nancy, Tim and William IV), siblings (Bob, Marilyn and Jocelyn), his grandchildren (Chase, Dakota, Jacqueline, Jessica and Hunter) and many friends. My prayers are with you all, both his present and past families that are remembering him, missing him and grieving their loss.

To Tim, Jennifer, Nancy, William IV and all of the Davis Family,
I am so very sorry about your loss. Bill was such an outstanding man with an amazing personality that always seemed to make the best out of a situation. I know that my children and I were blessed to have had him as a neighbor and friend over the years. Always such a fun man with keen insights and view of the world that had to endear him to all he met. I loved his answering machine and recall asking him where he purchased such great tapes, then I was bolted over when he sprung into a Johnny Cash song. Amazing! As time moves on there will be frequent memorials for Bill – for the rest of their lives when two or more people who knew him get together.
