Pastor Burman arrived at Brown Street in Alton, IL right after I graduated. He was a gentle shepherd and firm scriptural guide. Later on, a great leader and co-worker in the church office. He warmed up a room, literally - always an early bird, he made sure spaces were ready and welcoming for church. He and Bev loved their family and loved sharing them with others. The only judgement I could give about Pastor Burman is that he wouldn't eat his green vegetables! lol I will always remember him on the platform, sitting behind the music ministry singer, mouthing the words along with them...didn't matter if he knew those lyrics or not, those lips were moving right along! :)
