ITASCA SMITH Obituary

ITASCA SMITH 02/24/1935 - 05/15/2025 Itasca L. Smith joined her Lord and Savior on May 15, 2025. Born February 24, 1935, to Aleain (Norris) and William Leonard, in Bunkley, Mississippi, she was a loving mother, and grandmother. A graduate of Meadville High School, Itasca continued her education at business school before embarking on a career in home health. She retired in 2005, and dedicated her life to the love and care of others. A life long member of the United Church of God, Itasca was a faith filled woman. Dearly loved, she will be greatly missed. Itasca is preceded in death by her father William Louis Leonard; mother Aleain Norris Leonard; and sister Patsy L. Davis. Itasca is survived by her daughters Cala Davis and husband A. Mikel Davis; Jackie Hadden and husband Victor Hadden; grandchildren Brandy Lewis, Ashley Roberts, Casie Lloyd; great grandchildren Kaegan Lewis, Gavin Lewis, Colton Lloyd, Austin Lloyd, Savannah Lloyd; nephew Mark Davis; and niece Vicky Jordan. The family will receive visitors Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 5pm until 7pm, at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville, Mississippi. Graveside service will follow, Monday, May 26, 2025, at Midway Cemetery in Meadville.
