Randy Eldred Obituary
Randy was born September 24, 1955 in Carbondale. He is the son of the late Clayton and Gabriel Schott Eldred.
Randy started working at an early age at the Norman Dennis farm in Rileyville and also worked with his father Clayton in the logging business. For many years he worked with James Rutledge Excavating and eventually started his own excavating business.
Randy was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and riding his four wheeler with his grandson, Chase, who was the apple of his eye.
He was a board member of the Girdland Cemetery and a previous member of a private fishing and hunting club on Spry Road. Randy was a wonderful family man who treasured his family and his many friends.
In addition to his wife Barbara he is survived by two daughters, Jessica Lillian Kromko and her husband Matthew of Rileyville and Jennifer Lynn Eldred of Rileyville; three sisters, Dale Lee Eldred of Girdland, Diane Eldred Day of Equinunk, Dawn Eldred Hardler and her husband James of Rileyville; a grandson, Chase Paul Kromko of Rileyville; several aunts, uncles,nieces,nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother in law, Paul Day.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale with the Rev. Mary Bryant officiating. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 10:00 AM -1:00 PM.
A private interment will be in the Girdland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Damascus Ambulance Corps, 1290 Cochecton Tpke, Tyler Hill, Pa 18469 or the Equinunk Fire Company,PO Box 67 Equinunk, Pa 18469 or The Girdland Cemetery c/o Joyce Morgan, 866 Oregon Tpke, Honesdale, Pa 18431.

So sorry to hear of Randy's passing. WE had heard he was very sick with Cancer. It is a very bad and painful time for family to see their love one suffer.
