Heather Jones Obituary

Heather Lynn Jones

June 7, 1991 - May 23, 2025

Heather Lynn Jones 33 of Raymond, IA was the human form of sunshine! Everyone who met her loved her. She was born on June 7th, 1991 to her parents Debra and Scott Jones. She was blessed with one older brother, Jeremy, who she loved with every fiber of her being. You couldn't find two siblings closer than these two.

Heather passed away on Friday, May 23rd, 2025 doing what she loved with who she loved, Jason Matthias. The boy she secretly loved for most of her life. Heather was the happiest anyone who loved her had ever seen her. She was the most vibrant and loving human, anyone could meet. She was a graduate of Hudson High School, class of 2009. This is where she met the people who imprinted her heart and created her love for friends. As many can attest, she was the greatest friend and cared deeply for those close to her.

Heather worked for Dan Deery as a receptionist, working her way to service manager most recently. She was proud of her job and truly loved what she did and those she worked with were like family.

Heather was never a stranger to anyone. Every single person she met felt her warmth and love. She had the most contagious smile and an ability to make people feel whole. Heather had a beloved dog, Daisy Mae, that held a special place in her heart. Daisy was her beloved baby girl. The presence she left in this world will never be forgotten.

Heather is survived by her parents, Scott and Debra Jones of Waterloo; brother, Jeremy (Kayla) Jones of Tripoli; her dog, Daisy; cousins, Cody (Brenna) Allen and their kids of Hudson; cousin, Amber Allen (Cordell Hestness) and their kids of Corydon; and other cousins. Her boyfriend, Jason Matthias of Cedar Falls; and her best friend, Jadin Hunter of Raymond.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry & Sharon Ellis; Donald & Shirley Jones; aunt, Denise Allen; and uncle, Brian Ellis.

Celebration of Life: Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 2 p.m.-7 p.m., at Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 2125 W Lone Tree Rd, Cedar Falls, IA 50613.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Although we only got to meet Heather a few times, she always had a warm smile and a kind word. We stand with Scott and Deb and Jeremy and pray for healing.

At work at Deerys they had a company come in to help develop team work. One question was do you have a best friend at work. I joked with Heather and asked her if she would be my bff at work so I could say yes. We both had a good laugh and that´s how I remember Heather. She was a fun and loving person.

Heather was outgoing hard worker. We worked at Rydell together until she went over to Dan Deery best move she did as she became SERVICE Manager. We remained Friends and always was there for each other when needed advice or just to chat. She loved what she did and got along with everyone. You will be missed Deeply Heather.
