So blessed that you were in my life. All your teachings made a great difference in my life. For ever in my heat, my dear most extraordinary teacher Scotty, thank you from the bottom of my heart, you were my confidant when I needed the most. You are missed.

I met Scotty when I was attending Alfred University. He taught me a lot about what it meant to live a full life and what it meant to love and believe. A profound spiritual influence, and a guide to the airy faerie and my Celtic heritage- His stories and pipe smoke will forever remain in my memories and knowing him truly made me a better version of myself. Life would be much more empty had I not met him. He will be extremely missed and celebrated.

Scotty and I once shared a discussion about Mary, Queen of Scots, which I will never forget. Maybe we will continue the discussion later. A job well done, Scotty. RIP.

Having Scotty in my life from grade school thru his Humanities Class as a Senior in High School definitely left a positive impact on my life along with many great memories. He was truly a great man, teacher and friend. Mr. Macrea had a gift of knowing exactly what was in your head and how to help you get the best out of that. I wish that I would have listened more to him as his insight was always on point. Thank you for putting up with me so many years ago my friend. You will always have a reserved spot in all of our hearts. Until we meet again.... Sincerely, Jim "Jimmy" Mulholland

My deepest condolences to the MacCrea Family. My association with Scotty many years ago was through my work assignment at Alfred Univ. to coordinate the printing of honorary doctoral degree Citations to be presented at Commencement. Along with Scotty's beautiful calligraphy of the lengthy narratives came his magnificent border designs, each intricate and different in detail and color. Each one was a stunning work of art. I am grateful to have known Scotty as a kind, just, humble human being.

I always loved talking to you, and listening to your stories. I really wasn't very good in art class, but you always made me think I was. I will miss you.
