Cleta Collins Obituary
Mrs. Collins passed away at 9 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2025, at NHC HealthCare.
She was born June 1, 1945, in Mtn. View, Mo., to Douglas Guy Dean and Lucille Patterson Dean. On Jan. 11, 1964, she was married in Pomona to Sammey Collins.
Mrs. Collins worked at the State Bank of Willow Springs for 32 years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, her flowers and traveling. Mrs. Collins loved her family.
She is survived by her husband Sammey Collins, of the family home; two children Sheila Soffiotto and husband Stephen, Overland Park, Kan., and Sammey Collins and wife Stephanie, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; three grandchildren Dalton Soffiotto, Sawyer Collins and Sutton Collins; one brother Charles Dean and wife Brenda, Mtn. Grove, Mo.; two sisters Linda Sewalt and husband Otto, and Elina Crewse, all of Mtn. Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, one brother Leslie Dean and one sister Mabel Cox preceded her in death.
A private burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Christos House, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Mo.
