Margaret Lockhart Obituary

Funeral services for Margaret Meichell Lockhart, 72, West Plains, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, at Gospel Hill Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lockhart passed away at 12:42 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, at Ozarks Healthcare.

She was born Feb. 20, 1951, in Modesto, Calif., to Earl Bates and Margie Cochran Bates. On Nov. 21, 1975, she was married in Turlock, Calif., to Tommy Earl Lockhart.

Mrs. Lockhart enjoyed raising animals, sewing, crocheting, cooking and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband Tommy Lockhart, of the family home; three children Cecil Leroy Sullens III and wife Cherie, Gasconade, Mo., Rachell Howard and husband Mike, Willow Springs, Mo., and Benjamin Lockhart and wife Crystal, West Plains; eight grandchildren Sean Sullens, Lilly Howard, Jesse Howard, Logan Howard, Jace Howard, Zachariah Lockhart, Aubreona Lockhart and Juliana Lockhart; two great-grandchildren Owen and Finnley Sullens; one brother Danny Bates and wife Dianna, Empire, Calif.l; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, first husband Cecil Sullens, Jr., one grandson Steven Sullens and one sister Dahlynn Maria Bates preceded her in death.

Burial will be at Gospel Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Curry Street Church of Christ Library and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main St., West Plains, MO 65775. Online condolences may be left at www.robertsondrago.com.
