Mark Hiple Obituary

Mark Steven Hiple, Sr.(hisself), age 78, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Wellbrooke of Wabash. Mark was born on September 27, 1946, in Huntington, IN, to the late Jack and Gladys (Davenriner) Hiple. Mark was a 1964 graduate of Huntington Township High School, and he proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mark worked in factory maintenance and retired from Dana Corporation after 41 years of service. He was a member of the VFW #2689 and American Legion Post 87. Mark is survived by two sons, Mark (Heather) Hiple, Jr., Jon Hiple, both of Andrews, IN; one daughter, Sara (Brian) Douglass, Huntington, IN; 7 grandchildren, Brant, Barik, Braydin, Kodi, Reece, Alyssa, Brook; and three great-grandchildren, Opal, Haven and Beckham. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Hiple, Jr. To honor the wishes of Mark there will be no service or calling. A private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mark's honor to the VFW #2689 in care of McElhaney Funeral Hom, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750. McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N.
