Virginia Aschleman Obituary

Virginia L. Aschleman, 81, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, surrounded by her family. Virginia was born on Oct. 8, 1943, in Auburn, Indiana, and was one of 11 children born to Eugene and Ruth (Berry) Baughman. She married David M. Aschleman on Jan. 9, 1965, at Cedar Lake Church of the Brethren, and he passed away on Sept. 30, 2009. Virginia was a homemaker. When she was young, she worked at Sechler's Pickles in St. Joe and at Kraft Foods in Kendallville. Surviving are two children, Victoria Babbitt, of Auburn and Brian and Dawn Aschleman, of Auburn; and three grandchildren, Emilie Ann Aschleman, of Auburn, Jack David Aschleman, of Auburn and Tyler Andrew Babbitt, of Auburn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son-in-law, Brad Babbitt. A private family graveside service took place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Craig officiating. Memorial donations may be directed to Riley Children's Foundation, P.O. Box 3356, Indianapolis, IN 46206-3356.
