Ashley Moore Obituary

Ashley Godshall Moore, 42, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, June 15, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Allentown. A beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Ashley had called Bethlehem home for the past 12 years. She and her husband, Christopher L. Moore, joyfully celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on May 27. Born on April 30, 1983, in Sellersville, Ashley was the cherished daughter of Grey and Lisa (Bitler) Godshall of Franconia. She was a 2001 graduate of Souderton Area High School and went on to attend The Pennsylvania State University, where she was accepted into the Honors Program and sang with the Essence of Joy choir. She later earned her bachelor's degree in History and Music Performance from Muhlenberg College, including a formative year studying abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. A lifelong learner, Ashley continued graduate coursework after college, driven by her enduring love of education. Music was the heartbeat of Ashley's life. She began playing piano at age eight and became a classically trained vocalist. As a member of the Essence of Joy Alumni Singers, she performed around the world, sharing her voice in prestigious venues across the globe. Locally, she sang with the vocal trio Ash and Snow, performing throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond. Her love of music was matched by her joy in traveling, relaxing at the beach, and gathering with family for game nights and laughter. But above all, her greatest joy was the time spent with her husband and their beloved seven-year-old son, Greyson Christopher Godshall Moore. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her warmth, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. In addition to her husband, son, and parents, Ashley is survived by her sister, Linsey Yothers, and her husband, Benjamin, of Souderton; their son, Braeden Benjamin Yothers; her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Ruby Bitler of Bloomsburg; her mother-in-law, Linda Powers Moore of Quakertown; her brother-in-law, Trevor Moore of Pottstown and his son, Chance; as well as a loving extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Robert W. Godshall, and her paternal grandmother, Sara Godshall, along with too many other beloved family members gone too soon. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ashley's life at a memorial service on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Mennonite Church, 149 East Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. The service will be live streamed and can be viewed at https://zionmennonite.org/worship/live-stream/. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greyson Moore Education Fund, a 529 account at Edward Jones. Checks should be made payable to Edward Jones, with "Greyson Moore 529" in the memo line, and mailed to: Edward Jones, 83 West Broad St., Bethlehem, PA. 18018 Arrangements are by Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home, Franconia, PA.
