Brian Christopher James

Brian Christopher James, 57, a life-long resident of Harleysville, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 13, 2025, at home. Born April 7, 1968, in Lansdale, PA, he was a son of Adam James of Harleysville, PA, and the late Margaret (Fonzone) James who passed away in 2014. Growing up in Harleysville, he played little league baseball for Harleysville Baseball and then on the Souderton American Legion Baseball Team. He was a 1986 graduate of Souderton Area High School where he was a member of the wrestling and baseball teams. He earned his associate degree from Montgomery County Community College, his bachelor's degree from Kutztown University, and his master's degree from Lehigh University. Brian was a teacher at The Centennial School in Hanover Township, PA, for over 27 years. An avid softball player since his college years, he played in three different leagues and looked forward to playing for many years to come. He was affectionately known as "Moose". Brian was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts, especially heavy metal. In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother, Bradley C. James of Bethlehem, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 9:30-10:15 am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Rd., Hatfield, PA, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am. Interment will be private. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be offered at the Franconia Heritage Restaurant in Franconia, PA.
