Bruce D. Hart

Bruce Donahue Hart, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Masonic Village at Warminster. For more than 65 years he resided in Hatboro, Pennsylvania where he and his loving wife, Virginia built their life; they were married for 71 years. In his final days, Bruce was surrounded by his family. Born at home on August 27, 1929 in Philadelphia, he was the only child of the late Joseph F. and Katherine (Donahue) Hart. Bruce graduated high school in Philadelphia with a specialty in mechanical arts. In 1950 he completed a three year Machinist course at Mastbaum vocational in Philadelphia. Bruce honorably served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army and Army Reserves. He was a member of the Freemason's Jerusalem Lodge 506. In the 1960's Bruce drove an ambulance on evenings and weekends for Warminster Ambulance. Bruce was employed for many years at American Electronics Laboratories, after retirement he returned to AEL as a consultant. In retirement Bruce and Virginia drove across the country and enjoyed time at the Jersey shore. Bruce helped neighbor children with their Math homework, and spent time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Throughout his life, Bruce enjoyed taking on woodworking and construction projects, built an addition onto his Hatboro home and could regularly be found at the homes of his extended family helping with various projects. Bruce is predeceased by his granddaughter Samantha. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Bunn) Hart as well as his four sons, Stephen Hart (Nancy), Eric Hart (Barbara), Peter Hart (Denise), and Andrew Hart (Karin); and his daughter, Virginia Oldt (Michael). Bruce is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Grandchildren include Joseph, Scott, Stephen, Patrick, Matthew and John. Great Grandchildren include Angel, Shaenah, Sasha, Selenah, Scott, Elara and Leo. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital (Philadelphia.) Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home.
