Chad A. Anders

Chad A. Anders, 53, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7th, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Reading on August 30, 1971, Chad was the beloved son of Barbara S. (Gerhart) Anders and the late Allen R. Anders. He was a 1989 graduate of Mt. Penn High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Alvernia University in 1993. Chad was a longtime member of Nativity Lutheran Church in Reading. He worked for many years at Blockbuster Video and later at Giant Food Stores, both in Exeter Township. Chad had a lifelong interest in history and politics and was always ready for a thoughtful discussion. He excelled at trivia, enjoyed playing tennis, and especially loved visits to amusement parks, with Hersheypark holding a special place in his heart. In addition to his mother, Chad is also survived by his brother, Daren, husband of Amy Anders; his niece and nephew, Eva and Lincoln Anders; and his aunt, Ruthann Hartman.
