Deborah Rodgers Obituary

Deborah graduated from St. Hubert's Catholic High School in 1974 and worked at a few different jobs growing up but one of her favorites was when she worked at the Tasty Cake factory. She always told stories of her time there and how much fun she had. She later retired from the factory in 1995 due to an injury. After that she was able to be home with her family taking care of them each day.
Deborah loved to take care of animals. She had many cats that she cared for and loved very deeply. She also had animals such as raccoons and seagulls and other kinds of birds that would visit her for their daily snacks throughout the day when she lived at her shore home in Manahawkin, NJ. She would never even hurt a fly. She taught her children to love and care for animals the same as she did. This was a kindness they learned that will always guide them through their lives. She was a Catholic woman and loved going to church every Sunday. She loved watching old time movies and listening to her favorite music, especially during Christmas time, she loved listening to Bing Crosby while decorating the house. She was always one phone call away for all of her children and other family members. No matter how much she was struggling at times, she would always help to pick her loved ones up when they had fallen. She was selfless and loving and empathetic. Anyone who had gotten the chance to know her was blessed by her kindness, generosity and most of all, her love.
