Dolores J. Cauller

Dolores J. Cauller, 94, passed away June 11, 2025, in Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, PA. She was the wife of William L. Cauller, who pre-deceased her in 2024. Dolores and William shared 68 loving years together in marriage. Born in Philadelphia, raised in Coatesville, PA, and a life-long Lehigh Valley resident following marriage, Dolores was the daughter of the late John and Rose Carotenuto. Dolores began her career as a secretarial assistant with Lehigh Coal & Navigation in Bethlehem, PA. With some short breaks to raise two sons, she applied her skills as secretary and bookkeeper at Hecktown Building Supply, working until retirement alongside her husband Bill, proprietor and co-owner. Dolores was a devoted member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, in Bethlehem, where for over 40 years, she volunteered as member, Chair, and ultimately Directress of the church's Altar Guild. She actively supported the greater Nativity community for many years as a Lay Eucharistic Minister, chalice bearer, lector, White Elephant coordinator, church school teacher, and as advisor and activity leader for the church's Young People's Fellowship (YPF) club. Dolores had many interests in life as disparate as "decorator extraordinaire" in the family house and Cub Scout Den Mother. She had a strong passion for reading, which she shared with both her family and the Hecktown and Nazareth communities, in part, by volunteering for many years as a public librarian at the Memorial Library in Nazareth. Dolores also loved cooking for and hosting numerous get-togethers for her extended family and many friends. Dolores is survived by sons, Dr. Timothy W. Cauller and wife Naoko, of Buffalo, NY, and Stephen J. Cauller and wife Wendy of Doylestown, PA. Grandchildren include Julia M. Cauller and husband John Mikitsh of Philadelphia, PA; Renee E. Cauller of Doylestown, PA; Masatami W. Cauller of Hoboken, NJ; and great-granddaughter Maia R. Mikitsh. A memorial service for Dolores will be held on Saturday, August 9, 11:00 AM, at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, 321 Wyandotte Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18015. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Family Pillars Hospice, 3910 Adler Place, Suite 130, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
