Dorothy M. Resinger

DOROTHY MAHNKS RESINGER 1923 to 2025 Dorothy Mahnks Resinger, age 102, died on 07/19/2025 at 5:45 AM. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Resinger. They were married for 70 years. She and her husband lived in Lansdale since 1953. Dorothy was the daughter of Frank H. Mahnks and Sally Walden Mahnks. She was born in Buffalo, NY and then moved to Gibson, GA. Dorothy graduated from Avera High School, moved to Atlanta and graduated from Atlanta College of Business & Library Science. She married Robert Resinger while in Atlanta and they moved to Corpus Christy, TX. Following Robert's career they then moved to Philadelphia and later to Lansdale. Dorothy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Lansdale. She was active in Bible School, teaching for 14 years, and also taught 8 years in Summer Bible School. Dorothy was president of the Lansdale Women's Club and worked 14 years in the library at North Penn School District. Surviving her death are her husband, Robert, three children; S. Robert Resinger and his wife, Diane, of Kingston, RI, James E. Resinger and his wife, Deborah, of Glen Mills, PA and Pamela J. Mears and her husband, Dennis Mears, of Damascus, MD; six grand children and eight great grand children. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, knitting, needlepoint, bridge, golf, reading, crafts and loved visiting with her grand children and great grand children. She will be missed by both family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial services on 07/26/2025, 11:00 AM at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens 352 S. Gulph Rd. King of Prussia, PA 19406.
