George C. Kline

George C. Kline, 84, of Temple, passed away Monday, June 9th, at Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center. George was born in Reading, on April 26, 1941, a son of the late Ruth C. (Royle) Kline and George E. Kline. He was the husband of Marianne D. (Myrick) Kline. George graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1959. He worked for Met-Ed, Reading in various positions, retiring in 1996. After retirement he worked part time for Schell's Dairy Swirl, Kline Builders and Turkey Hill Dairy. He served with the Temple Fire Company, for 40 years fulfilling numerous officer positions including Fire Chief. George also was a Certified Fire Instructor, Cub Master and longtime member of P.O.S. of A. serving as a Past President at both the state and national level. In addition to his wife George is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Kline; three sons Clifford, husband of Paula Kline, Craig Kline, and Christopher, husband of Jodie Kline. George is also survived by four sisters, Edith, wife of Larry McElwee, Carolyn, wife of Barry McElwee, Audrey, wife of Gerald Kinsel, and Phyllis Kline; and his brother, John, husband of Judith Kline. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Cammeron, husband of Leeann, Andrew and Adrienne and 2 great grandchildren: Sorin and Rowan. George was predeceased by a sister Miriam Link. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, June 30th, 2025 at 6:00p.m. at Friedens United Church of Christ, 337 Main Street Oley, PA.
