Ian Michael Hartman, 18, of Mehoopany passed away Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born on June 28, 2006 in Lewisburg, PA, he is the son of Joshua and Alaina (Nace) Hartman.
He was a 2024 graduate of Tunkhannock High School, where he was an active member of the band, participated in auto tech and welding shop classes, and showcased his skills in the archery club.
Ian was known for his commitment and hard work. He previously worked for Mile Hill and the Festival of Lights, but most recently, he was proudly employed at Alpha Electrical.
He found joy in the great outdoors and was an avid dirt biker, fisherman, and hunter. His love for these activities often brought him together with friends, with whom he treasured many memorable moments. Ian was known for his kindness and companionship, always finding ways to uplift those around him and create lasting bonds with his peers.
Ian was an active member of Bridgewater Church and a valued contributor to the FWM Volunteer Fire Company, exemplifying the spirit of service and community involvement.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Kayleen Girton, Iesha Hartman, Caddy Hartman; brother, John Hartman; grandparents, Wayne Hartman, Brenda Ford, Jerry Traver, Ruthann Traver, James Nace, Sandy Nace; girlfriend, Savannah Walker.
He is preceded in death by brother, Thomas Hartman.
Family and friends are invited to attend Ian's Celebration of Life which will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM from the Triton Hose Co., 108 W. Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Rev. Kurt Goglin presiding.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Monday.
