James Gunn Obituary

James T. Gunn, Sr., of Lafayette Hill, Pa, formerly of Collegeville, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025 at the age of 90. Born June 12, 1934 to the late Edward and Rose (nee Boyle) Gunn; James was the beloved husband of Aurora (nee Lerro) Gunn, loving father of Rosemary Kennedy (Joe), Cynthia Orme, James T. Gunn, Jr. (Maria), David Gunn (Alex); cherished grandfather of Joseph, Claire Kennedy, Callum, Gareth, Meredith Orme (Kyraen), Lauren, Nicole Gunn, Ever, and Reve Gunn-Ferreira. Above all, Jim's love of his family always came first. He and his wife Aurora shared 64 years of marriage. Jim was very proud of his children and grandchildren's accomplishments, including all of his children going to Villanova University. Jim himself was a proud alum of St. Joseph's Prep and St. Joseph University. His pastimes included gardening, home improvement, vacations to the Jersey shore, road trips, and traveling with his wife. He enjoyed genealogy, spending time learning and reading online, keeping up with current events, listening to a wide variety of music, Italian food, concerts and musicals, and he was an avid reader. He loved to cheer on the Eagles and the Phillies. He spent 25 years at Sun Oil Company in their Technology and Human Resources departments; then became an HR consultant after retirement from Sun. He enjoying coaching and mentoring others during and after his formal career. Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's Life Celebration on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 10:30 to 11:15 AM, followed by his mass at 11:30 AM at St. Eleanor Church, 647 Locust St, Collegeville, PA 19426; interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken. I hope his endurance will allow his family to continue to flourish. I never realized how much he resembles his father, Edward. I am so sorry I was unable to be there for the family. God Bless all the Gunn's particularly Uncle Jim's immediate family. Peace. Jeffrey Gunn

So sorry to hear of Jim´s passing. Was his caregiver for over a year and enjoyed Jim´s stories & sense of humor. My sincere condolences to Jim´s entire family of which he adored & was very proud of.
