Kenneth Robertson Obituary

Kenneth D. "Robbie" Robertson, 83, of Bangor, PA, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025. Born in Tustin, MI on October 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Russell and Marguerite (Myers) Robertson. A gifted multi-sport athlete, he declined a basketball scholarship to enlist in the U.S. Army, proudly serving from 1959-1962. After his tour in Europe, Robbie met and married the love of his life, Louise Fasten, and together they shared 38 years of wedded bliss before her passing in 2001. Kenny and Louise were the nucleus of the family they cherished above all else. Realizing he outkicked his coverage when he married Louise, Robbie enjoyed life to the fullest and was a giant in all aspects of life. He rose through the ranks of Mack Trucks, was an avid fisherman and woodsman, and loved to cheer on the Michigan Wolverines (Go Blue). He was a lifetime member of the VFW-Bangor and American Legion-Nazareth, but no matter the club he was frequenting, he could always be seen smiling as he was surrounded by the group of lifetime friends who all contributed greatly to his wonderful life. Robbie is survived by his loving daughter Deanna Robertson, and her husband Kevin; son Dean Robertson and his wife Dylana; and his loving grandchildren Megan, Marley, and Fisher, to whom he was the proudest Pop-Pop. He is also survived by his brother Andrew Robertson. In addition to his parents and extraordinary wife Louise, he was preceded in death by sisters Jean Sapp and Joan Gleason, and brother Ivan Robertson. A celebration of Robbie's life will be held at The Bray, 202 VFW Road, Bangor, PA 18013 (formerly VFW) on Saturday, March 1st from 1:00PM to 4:00PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nichols Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Township). Online condolences may be offered at www.morellofuneralhome.com. Please know how saddened I am to see Robbie has passed. I remember him from working at Mack Trucks and everyone knew that wonderful individual, always smiling and had a kind word for everyone. My sympathy to the family as my thoughts and prayers are with you all...may he rest in peace. Pat
