Kevin Manning Obituary

Kevin Byron Manning, 72, of Tunkhannock, passed away on December 29, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on June 20, 1952, at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Meshoppen to the late Harold and Marian Manning. Kevin grew up in the Mehoopany area, where he developed a strong work ethic working on his parents' dairy farm. He later worked at Sire Power in Tunkhannock before transitioning to a role in the maintenance department at Keystone College. Even while facing the challenges of Parkinson's disease, Kevin remained dedicated to his work and community. Kevin had a passion for life that shone through his many interests. He was an avid Wilkes-Barre Penguins fan and enjoyed attending their games. He also loved ballroom and contra dancing, hunting, and exploring his creativity as an amateur photographer. His hobbies brought him joy and connected him with many who shared his enthusiasm. He is survived by his sister, Donna Manning Archer, and her husband, William Archer of Factoryville; his brother, Roger Manning, and his wife, Edna Manning of Suffolk, Virginia; as well as several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Wesley Village for the compassionate care they provided Kevin over the past few years. Their kindness and support made them an integral part of Kevin's life when home care became too difficult. A celebration of Kevin's life will be scheduled at a later date. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. For online condolences visit www.aplitwinfuneralhomes.com
