Matthew Feigley Obituary
Matthew Feigley, a devoted partner and father, passed away suddenly on June 11 2025, at age 56, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on February 9, 1969, in York, Pennsylvania, he lived a life of deep dedication to his family, friends, and scouting, leaving a lasting legacy cherished by all who knew him.
A distinguished graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, Matthew's commitment to learning was evident in his academic achievements and his lifelong pursuit of knowledge. His education provided a steadfast foundation for a career and life marked by leadership, compassion, and mentorship. Matthew's passion for service
found its fullest expression in his deep involvement with the Boy Scouts of America. As an Eagle Scout, he exemplified the principles of the Scout Oath and Law, inspiring
others with his integrity and resolve. He served with distinction as a leader in a couple Boy Scout Troops, guiding his children and other young men and women toward lives of honor, courage, and kindness. His roles as Shooting Sports Director at Camp Tuscarora Scout Reservation, Baden Powell Council, and as a dedicated member of the Minsi Trail Council and a devoted scout to Camp Minsi and Post 940, were sources of immense pride, through which he touched countless lives, fostering character and leadership in generations of scouts.
More recently, Matt and close friends Troy, Chris, and Becky founded nonprofit Post 940, to support outdoor education and recreation for youth. Over the years, he also volunteered services to the Allentown Women's Center and supported other causes he was passionate about.
Above all, Matthew's heart belonged to his family, whom he cherished with boundless love and devotion. He was a steadfast partner to Jamie Hall, with whom he built a life of shared joy and mutual support. Matthew was preceded in death by his beloved parents, G. Michael Feigley and Linda Grechi. He is survived by his children, Cora and Isaac, who were the light of his life and the embodiment of his hopes for the future; his sister, Jessica Feigley, and her wife, Laura Cramutola, of Swedesboro, New Jersey;
and his brother, Eric Feigley, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and close aunt and godmother Loretta Gunn and her husband Bill MacHose of Allentown.
Matthew's unwavering commitment to his children was evident in the values he instilled in them-love, resilience, and integrity-which will guide them throughout their lives. Matthew's life was a testament to the enduring power of service, family, and community. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he inspired, the lives he shaped, and the love he shared so generously.
