Michael Murray Obituary
Michael "Mike" Alexis Murray, 59, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania died Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice House in East Stroudsburg with his loving wife by his side. He was the doting husband of Pamela Bishop-Murray. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of Earl J. Murray and the late Marva McKenzie Murray.
Mike gave his life to Jesus Christ and was a member of Salt of the Earth Ministry (SOTEM). He committed himself to Jesus on July 20, 2025. He reconnected and reestablished his commitment to forgiving everyone and asking God for forgiveness to those he hurt. Most importantly he repented and gave himself to Jesus. Mike loved his wife dearly; they spent the last few weeks of his life celebrating his birthday every day in a positive and meaningful way, enjoying the time he had left in this world. He supported his wife's motorcycle group, Distinctive Lady Riders and always wanted to ride the slingshot. Mike was known for his sharp dressing skills; his outfits would match from head to toe. He did so much good for so many people. As a union delegate, he fought for the rights of his fellow co-workers to save jobs and ensure fair treatment. Mike also enjoyed dancing and appreciated music. When he took to cooking, the Jamaican in him shined through in preparing ox tails, peas & rice with curry chicken. Everyone looked forward to his cooking and no one did it better. He will truly be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Pamela Bishop-Murray; children: Latoya Murray; Michael Murray, Jr.; Kennan Murray; Jamie Murray; step children: Venus, Tamela, Destiny, Daisy; grandchildren: Janae; Yacinia; siblings: Donivan Murray; Sandray Murray-Henry and her husband, Granvil; Norman Murray and his wife, Erica; Kirk Murray; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son: Kian Murray.
