Michael D. "Ragu" Rau

Michael D. Rau, "Ragu", 53, of Kutztown, PA, born in Allentown, PA 11/24/1971, passed away surrounded by his family 3/19/2025 at LVH-Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA. Michael is survived by his sons, Alexander and Devin Rau, their mother Jenny Rakus, his mother Barbara (Buchman) Reighard and step-father Robert Reighard, father Paul Rau (wife Patricia), brothers Christopher Rau, Andrew Rau (wife Amy), Jeffrey Rau (wife Sarah), step-sister Julie Saitta (husband Thomas), step-brother Matthew Reighard, step-sister Lara Walker (husband Jesse), aunts, uncles, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Michael graduated from Parkland High School, Allentown '89 and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Kutztown University, Kutztown '94. He was an involved and proud TKE fraternity brother. Known as DJ Ragu, Michael was a disc jockey during and after college and then played for multiple fast pitch softball teams for several years. He enjoyed spending time with family at the family Pocono lakeshore house fishing, boating and playing golf. Michael most recently spent his time shooting pool in the Blue Mountain APA league and playing golf in local charity events in Kutztown. Memorial services will be held at 11am on April 12, 2025, at Asbury United Methodist Church,1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, PA 18104. There will be a calling period from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the church. Following the memorial, graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm at Hope Cemetery, 225 Church Lane, Kutztown, 19530.
