Michael Skrip Obituary

Michael R. Skrip, 68, of Emmaus, died peacefully May 28, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Debra A. (Landis) Skrip. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Rokosny) Skrip. Mike was a 1975 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He owned and operated Michael R. Skrip Excavating and Paving from 1978 until retiring in 2021. He was an avid fan of classic cars and auto racing. Mike enjoyed going to Florida with his wife and stepson and attended the Daytona 500 on numerous occasions. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus and was a life member of Emmaus Fire Company #1. Michael is survived by his sister, Theresa S. wife of Richard Reed; stepson, Elliot Billman and fiancée Jill; nieces and nephews, Thomas, Michelle, Annette, Carolyn, and Mark. He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara A. Clouse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues., June 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St, Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing Mon. 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus and Tues. 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Monocacy Farm Project, Attn: Sister Bonnie Kleinschuster, 395 Bridle Path Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18017.
