Robert Menard Obituary

Robert "Bob" D. Menard, 57, of Emmaus, passed away peacefully in Allentown on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Born in Holyoke, MA, he was a son of the late Donald Arthur LaBonte and Patricia Marie (McAuley) Menard. Bob was a graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School, where he proudly competed on the swimming and diving team. He went on to serve his country as a medic in the U.S. Army National Guard and Reserves in Massachusetts. Professionally, Bob most recently worked as a warehouse associate for UNFI's Allentown Distribution Center. Previously, he dedicated over 20 years to ThermoFisher Scientific as a warehouse manager. A true sports enthusiast, Bob was a dedicated fan of the Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys. But the Army football team always had a special place in his heart-his spirited chant, "Go Army, Beat Navy!", was heard often and echoed long after game day. In his younger years, Bob was an avid bowler, later channeling his competitive spirit into billiards as a proud member of the APA League in the Lehigh Valley. Robert enjoyed classic movies, a good beer, and a fine cigar. Those who knew Bob will remember his kindness, joyful laugh, and constant willingness to brighten the spirits of others. He is survived by his children: Elizabeth Menard and her wife Gabriella Diamandis of Nashville, TN; Air Force Staff Sergeant Hannah Menard of Okinawa, Japan; and Matthew, Molly, and Joseph Menard, all of South Hadley, MA. Bob was predeceased by his brother, Michael L. Menard of Holyoke, MA. He was also predeceased by his beloved dog, Daisy, who was never far from his side. Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to K9's for Warriors () or The Fisher House Foundation ().
