Sally Pavlick Obituary
Sally Ann Pavlick, 82, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025. Born in Allentown, Sally was the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Mae Kromer and the wife of the late Michael J. Pavlick. Sally was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School and Gwynedd Mercy University. After stops in Cleveland, Ohio and Groton, Connecticut, Sally and her growing family eventually settled in Whitpain Township. Sally was a devoted member of St. Helena Roman Catholic Church in Blue Bell, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, taught CCD classes, and volunteered collecting and distributing donations for the less fortunate.
Sally enjoyed walking (particularly at the Shore), reading, and watching her family members in various extracurricular activities like sporting events and theater. But most of all, she loved children. She taught at St. Ann's School in Bethlehem before marrying. After raising seven children of her own with her husband, Sally returned to the classroom, first at SS. Cosmas & Damian in Conshohocken and then, for 35 years, she taught kindergarten at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy in Philadelphia. She cherished interacting with her students and, in the process, enriched the lives of countless children. Sally, who embraced a good book, spent her summers working at Wissahickon Valley Branch Library, where she conducted reading programs for youthful patrons.
Sally is survived by all of her children: Michael (Kimberly) of Munhall, Karen (Edward Flynn) of Plymouth Meeting, Kevin (Dawn) of Blandon, Craig (Scottie) of Lexington, Virginia, Kristen Logerstedt (David) of Ambler, Annemarie Convey (Christopher) of Plymouth Meeting, and Stephanie Ridolfi (Christopher) of Milford, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her youngest sister, Susan Jones (Michael) of Allentown. Sally was the beloved grandmother of thirteen grandchildren: Meghan and Veronica; Ryan and Rachel; Ashley, Max and Taylor; Matthew and Patrick; Katie and Christopher; and Emma and Michael. Sally also was delighted to be a great grandmother to Aiden, Liam, Crew, Charlotte, Finn and Addie. In addition to her parents and husband, Sally's siblings, Neil Kromer and Donna (Kromer) Shurilla, predeceased her.
As it became harder to live on her own, Sally found a new community to cherish when she moved to The 501 at Mattison Estate in Ambler. Sally's love of life was evident in the new friendships she shared with the residents and staff at 501 Mattison, as well as the longtime friendships and acquaintances which continued to flourish.
Funeral arrangements are being provided by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home. Services will be on Thursday, July 31, 2025: visitation from 9:00-10:50 a.m., immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., both at St. Helena Roman Catholic Church, 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell; interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you kindly consider a donation on Sally's behalf to Wissahickon Valley Public Library (Blue Bell branch) https://www.wvpl.org/donate
