Troy Bates Obituary

Troy Allen Bates, 35, died March 26, 2026, in his Ruscombmanor Township residence.

Born May 4, 1990 in Pottsville, he was the son of Marsha Ann (Fritz) Bates, fiancé of Jerry L. Spohn of Ruscombmanor Township and the late Allen William Bates.

A 2008 graduate of Oley Valley High School, he furthered his education at School of Automotive Machinists & Technology, Houston, TX.

Troy was employed with Art's Custom Machine Shop as a CNC Programmer for 14 years, and most recently, was employed with Precision Technology, as a machinist and programmer, where he worked for the past nine years.

Some of Troy's favorite pastimes were gardening, building computers, and working on cars. He was a member of Alsace Manor Social Quarters and Reading Booster's Club.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his maternal grandmother, Frances Fritz of New Ringgold; his aunts and uncles: Antonette "Toni" Fritz of Mountain Top, Alvin Fritz, Jr. of Anthem, AZ, and Cindy Haring of Bernville.

Other survivors include his seven cousins: Jenna Kizis, Amanda Hole, Brett Haring, Isaac Fritz, Caleb Fritz, Jennifer Madigan, and Matt Faller.

Troy also leaves behind his beloved dog, Nikki.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
