Ursulla L. Rothermel

Ursulla "Urs" Rothermel, 75, of Temple, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Ursulla will be remembered fondly for her passionate spirit, warm heart, and unwavering confidence. Born on March 30, 1950, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Ursulla was the cherished daughter of first-generation German immigrants, the late Max and Lisbeth (Jahn) Nestler, Leesport, PA. She took immense pride in her heritage, fluently speaking German and celebrating German traditions throughout her life. A graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, Ursulla went on to become an LPN. She was a dedicated nurse, spending her career caring for others at Berks Heim and ManorCare in West Reading. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her profession as she passionately cared for her family, including her beloved dog, Roxie. Ursulla was united in marriage with her beloved husband, Larry Lee Rothermel, for 55 joyful years. Together, they raised three loving children: Christopher L Rothermel, husband of Nicole Rothermel, Amy U (Rothermel), wife of Andrew Lesher, and Thomas A Rothermel, husband of Jenna Rothermel. She was the adoring grandmother to eight grandchildren, Emily Rothermel, Jacob Rothermel, Luke Lesher, Grant Lesher, Ethan Lesher, Harry Rothermel, Madeleine Rothermel and Max Rothermel. She is also survived by her loyal sister Heidimarie (Nestler) Arndt. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. A service, to honor Ursulla's life, will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10-11 am. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
