Wayne Hertzog Obituary

Wayne H. Hertzog, Jr., or (Butch as known to many) age 69 of Phoenix Arizona., passed away on April 25, 2025 at his daughter's residence. Wayne was born on September 1st, 1955 in Allentown, PA. He was the son of the late Wayne H. Hertzog, Sr., and the late Barbara (Mest) Hertzog. Wayne graduated from Whitehall High School in 1973. He worked for Paula Vending from 1977 to 1985. He then moved to Phoenix Arizona and worked as a landscaper for the Paradise Valley Mall, was a laborer at Marvel, a floor assistant at Sports Authority and Pioneer Landscaping Supply before retiring. Wayne enjoyed the outside he especially loved going to the woods and riding in the side by side. His happy place was standing by the fire, drinking a Bud Light and smoking a cigarette. He enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes. He especially loved his orange tree that he planted himself. Surviving are two daughters, Desire L. Halye, Bernville, PA, Jordan E. Hertzog, Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Randy Hertzog, Kutztown, PA, Michael Hertzog, Kutztown, PA; sisters, Annette Hummel, Fleetwood, PA, Debbie Angstadt, Kutztown, PA; 4 Grandchildren, Devin, Donovan, Khloe, and Karson and is fondly remembered by many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of life will be held on 6/22/2025 at Rockland Rod & Gun Club at 1pm.
