Catherine Carrigan Hoffman

Catherine Carrigan Hoffman, 63, of Winsted, CT, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, due to natural causes. A kind and caring soul, Kitty (Casey) was a bright light to everyone she knew. She was an adoring mother, grandmother, aunt, a loving sister and friend. Kitty was an artist, designing women's clothing as young as 8 years old and drawing life-like pastel portraits. She embraced technology early on and blended her many talents in her work throughout the years, including with Thomas McKnight and Nolaro24. Her most recent accomplishment has been sculptures of herself and nephews. She was instrumental in reviving the Society of CT Sculptors with Susan Wakeem. Kitty's hobbies included gardening, reading, and cooking. She mastered all of her interests and was the inspiration and awe of family and friends. She enjoyed traveling; discovering Italy, Sicily, and RVing around the Northeast with family, flying with Renate McKnight, and visiting many National Parks in the American West with Roberta Nole and her work family. Friends may call on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 4 - 7 PM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
