Daniel Interlandi

Daniel Interlandi was born May 21, 1973 in Hartford, Connecticut to Rosa and the late Salvatore Interlandi. As a last laugh to his friends and in typical Dan fashion, he departed this world on April 1, 2025, April Fool's Day, at Hartford Hospital after battling a brief illness. Dan leaves behind his mother Rosa and her husband Guri Habili, both of Newington, his step-sister and brother Arjola and Euklid Habili, as well as his beloved 4 legged child, Sara. He is predeceased by his brother Alejandro Interlandi and the dog that first captured his heart, Bruno. Dan dedicated his life to helping others, working as an EMT for the past 25 years at Newington EMS where he served as the Training Officer for many years after his tenure as Assistant Chief. He also served as the Chairperson for the Town EMS Committee and throughout the years worked with various agencies and organizations including Wethersfield Ambulance, Glastonbury EMS, Aetna Ambulance, CMED, and other Region 3 partners. He was passionate about EMS education and frequently taught CPR and EMT classes, as well as tutoring and supporting others in their pursuit for their certifications. In recognizing the difficulties that first responders face during the course of their duties, Dan was a founding member of the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team here in Connecticut, providing peer support to first responders during difficult times. Beyond his work as an EMT, Dan was a great friend to many, humorous, caring and always willing to help out. He was passionate about all things comics, the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. He was a lover of all Italian foods, but could never quite find anyone's cooking that could top his mother's. Services for Dan will be grave-side on Wednesday April 9, 2025 at 11:00 am in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford. There will be no calling hours. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of Life at the Elks Lodge #957, 30 Washington Street, New Britain.
