John Hardy Obituary

John E. Hardy of Hartford, Connecticut, loving husband for 62 years and best friend of Vita C. Hardy, passed away at Hartford Hospital due to complications from pneumonia at the age of 85. A lifelong resident of Hartford, John was a proud and dedicated member of Local Insulators 33, from which he retired after many years of hard work and commitment to his trade. John will be remembered for his quiet strength, devotion to his family, and deep love for those closest to him. In addition to his beloved wife Vita, he is survived by his son John, daughter Jane (Michael), and his cherished grandchildren who called him "Poppy" --Nicholas, Mary, Jacob, Amanda, and Madeline. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Hartford Hospital for the care and kindness shown to John during his time there. In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Instead, in his memory, the family asks that you simply remind your loved ones how much they mean to you-give them a hug, tell them you love them, and cherish your time together.
