Michael J. Campanelli, MD MD

Michael J. Campanelli, MD of Madison, died Thursday, June 12, 2025 at his home. Dr. Campanelli was born in Manhasset, NY on November 2, 1999, son of John and Valerie Campanelli. He was a medical student at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine where he was just awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine. He was a 2018 graduate of Daniel Hand High School and a 2022 graduate of Furman University. Dr. Campanelli was an accomplished violist who had played in numerous symphony orchestras throughout his life. He was a lifetime communicant of St. George Church in Guilford and had volunteered with a variety of ministries. Dr. Michael was a huge Jimmy Buffet fan and loved being on the water, especially boating to Block Island. Funeral from the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Friday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. George Church, Guilford at 10:00. Burial will follow in Alderbrook Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
