Gaybriella "Gay" Spoon

Gaybriella Spoon, 69, of Macomb, IL passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Macomb Post Care Center. She was born December 23, 1955, to Bobbie Joe and Myra Gayle (Seymour) Barth of Meredosia. Gay is survived by her daughter, Amy Joe Chancy (Justin & Emma Carroll) of Adair; brother Kevin (Vicki) Barth of Meredosia; nieces, Kristel Little & Myranda Staton and nephew, Bryan Barthand their families; along with many friends and loved ones. She graduated from Meredosia-Chambersburg High School in 1974. She worked at the Beardstown Glove factory, cleaned houses, EMI records and was a Direct Support Person with Hope School in Springfield. Over the years, Gay enjoyed life to the fullest. Riding motorcycles, camping and lounging on the pontoons at Schy-Rush and of course, Bunko with the girls. Gay also loved to be in the sun, rather it be in the garden, out on the river fishing, or just hanging out by a pool somewhere. The family's love of racing and football didn't stop with her either. She was a fan of Jeff Gordon and the Green Bay Packers. When she wasn't reading or watching the Hallmark channel she was spending time with her friends, her dog, and Amy Joe. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia, cremations rights have been accorded. The family will meet with friends from 12 Noon until the time of service. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Meredosia is in charge of the arrangements.
