Always active and on the go, AJ was an election judge, member of the Adams County Women's Republican Club, Camp Point Order of Eastern Star, Adams County Retired Teachers, Sweet Adelines, Red Hats and director of the Sunset Apartments Kitchen Band.
As all moms and grandmas do, "Grandma Jeannie Bop," as her grandkids called her, cherished any occasion when she could fire up the organ, sing a song and dance a jig with her family and friends.

Also surviving are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Laura Hessling and her friend, Chad Fischer, and her children, Tanner and Taylor, Stacia Munroe and her husband, Tom, and their son, Logan, Debra Carstens and her husband, Cris, Matt Hamilton and his children, Jake and Bailey, Brian Hamilton and his wife, Mandy, and their children, Brody and Kaitlyn, Jennifer Ippensen and her husband, Jason, and their children, Lane, Libby and Luke, John Kelly and his fiancé, Lindsey Niekamp, Ben Hamilton and his wife, Wendy, and their children, Madelyn and Grant, Kristen Hamilton, Ryan Kelly and his wife, Lindsay, and their daughter, Lauryn and baby girl due in August, and Cara Landgrebe and her husband, Travis; three nephews, Mike (Marcia) Lummis, Mark (Marlene) Lummis and Brad (Cheri) Lummis; three stepchildren, Michael Vollbracht, Carol Lynn Clinkscale and Michelle Polivka; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
