Edna Bode Obituary

HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Edna E. Bode, 83, of Hannibal, formerly of Quincy, Ill., died at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 10, 2013) in her home.

Mrs. Bode was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Ralls County to Albert and Della Hendricks Colliver. She was previously married to Wesley McElvain. He preceded her in death. She then married Chester Bertolozi, and he also preceded her in death. She then married Ronald L. Bode on Nov. 30, 1991, in Quincy. He survives.

Mrs. Bode was a baker for 19 years at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

She enjoyed listening to music and liked going on walks. Mrs. Bode was a believer in Jesus and enjoyed studying the Bible. She was a Christian by faith.

In addition to her husband, other survivors include one daughter, Paula Campbell (Roger) of Fowler, Ill.; four stepchildren; two sisters, Bernie Jones of Geneseo, Ill., and Jean McClintic (Jim) of St. Joseph; two grandchildren, Krista Holman (Joseph) and Melissa Clay (Nadant); and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by one son-in-law, Bradley Hise.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday in the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Marty Miller will conduct. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy.

Pallbearers will be Roger Campbell, Joseph Holman, Nadant Clay, Don Forshee, Donald Reeves and Lewis Bode.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday in the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: WTJR and KJIR Radio stations in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
