Brian Coleman Obituary

Brian Donovan Coleman, 45 years of age, entered Life Eternal following a battle with cancer at his home in Braintree on Saturday, December 15, 2012 surrounded by family members. He was born at St. Margarets Hospital, Dorchester. He received his education in Braintree Schools and graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood and from Massasoit College and Edison University at Fort Myers, Florida. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management. He was Director of Technical Support at Cummins Diesel Company of Dedham and Braintree. He was a communicant of Saint Thomas More Parish in Braintree. Brian had coached Braintree Youth Baseball and Braintree Youth Soccer. He was an avid golfer at South Shore Golf Courses and enjoyed sports, boating and the beach especially in Duxbury at his parents home. He is survived by his beloved wife Maryann (Vella) Coleman and his sons Brian Donovan Coleman, Jr. and Evan Anthony Coleman. He was the father of the late Emily Rose Coleman. He is survived by his devoted parents Paul H. Coleman and Mary L. (Donovan) Coleman of Duxbury. He leaves his loving brothers and sisters: Dr. Paul H. Coleman, D.M.D. of Poway, CA., Richard J. Coleman and his wife Roberta of Scituate, John G. Coleman and his wife Rosemary of Norwell, Christopher J. Coleman and his wife Maria of Palo Alto, CA. Kee OBrien and her husband Jack of East Haven, CT., and Debra Coleman of Marshfield. He was the brother of the late Mary Gott. Brian is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is the son-in-law of John A. Vella and Cecilia Vella of Braintree. Visiting hours were held at the Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St., Braintree on Wednesday, December 19th. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Thursday, December 20th, at 10:00 A.M. to be followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of Saint Thomas More, Elm Street and Hawthorn Road, Braintree at 11:00 A.M. The interment will be private at a later date. Brians family asks that flowers not be sent but rather donations, if desired, may be sent to Super Saturdays c/o Mary Ford Clark at Braintree High School, 128 Town St., Braintree, MA. 02184 or to Autism Speaks, N.E. Chapter, 990 Washington St., Suite 102, Dedham, MA. 02026
