Maria Bergonzi

Maria (Dadomo) Bergonzi, of Braintree, died October 24, 2016, at the age of 97. She was the wife of the late Joseph Bergonzi; loving mother of John Bergonzi Sr. and his wife Mary Jane of Hull and Lynne Musco of Milton; mother-in-law of the late Louis Musco; loving grandmother, called Nona by all, of Jessica George of Pembroke, Amy Ferguson of Hanover, John Bergonzi Jr. of Sandwich, Jason Bergonzi of Abington, Leanne Gibbons of Norwell, Suzanne Butt of Milton and Marc Musco of Hull; great-Nona of Tyler, Lilly and Alice George, Samantha and Alexandra Ferguson, Isabella, Sophia and Jake Bergonzi, Peyton and Wyatt Bergonzi, Colin, Madelyn and Caroline Gibbons, Lindsay, Brendan and Emily Butt and Riley Musco; devoted sister of Ines Maddalon of Canada, Piero Dadomo of London, the late Fr. Joseph Dadomo, Giocondo Dadomo, Aldo Dadomo, Paolo Dadomo and Anna Peruzzini. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Maria was born in Settesorelle, Italy. She was a homemaker that spent her days tending to her garden, attending Mass and cooking her famous raviolis for her beloved family. Maria "Nona" passed peacefully surrounded in love and comfort with her family at her side. She will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree, until 8:15 a.m. Saturday followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree.
