Judith Mulholland Obituary

Judith Cecile Phinney Mulholland, 71, of Plover Hill, Ipswich, wife of Alexander B. C. Mulholland, died November 9, 2014 in her home following her long illness. She was born June 19, 1943 in Salem to the late Earl and Cecile (Cote) Phinney. Judi was a graduate of Our Lady of Nazareth and Garland Junior College. In 1965 she married her childhood sweetheart, Alexander B. C. Mulholland, Jr. and has since resided in Ipswich. Judi served on the Ipswich School Committee for ten years, was a member of the Mayflower Society and was a director and volunteer of the Burke Mountain Club in East Burke, Vermont where she spent every winter. She enjoyed quilting, skiing, boating, gardening and decorating. A talented photographer, she enjoyed capturing her family and friends in quiet moments and special occasions. In addition to her loving and devoted husband, she is survived by her two sons, Alexander B. C. Mulholland, III and his wife Lindsey Russell Mulholland of Rye, New York, and Peter E. Mulholland, his wife Elizabeth Brown Mulholland and two grandsons, Andrew J. and Henry A. Mulholland of Topsfield. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Caldarone, of Danvers, her aunt, Shirley Frazier of Danvers and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Her funeral will be held 9 am Friday, Nov. 14, from the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, Six High St., Ipswich followed by the celebration of a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial 10 am in Our Lady of Hope Church, Pineswamp Rd., Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours are Thursday 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be in the New Highland Cemetery, Ipswich. Judy was a special member of our family of patients. She always had a smile for us,and was always a pleasure to treat. We will miss hearing her tell us stories of her children and grandchildren whom she was clearly so proud of.
