Leo Miller Obituary

Leo E. Miller June 11, 1934 January 5, 2015 Surrounded by his lov ing family, Leo E. Miller, 80, of Wingate, went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2015. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather who served the Lord faithfully. Leo was born to the late Ellis and Hazel Oliver Miller on June 11, 1934, in Bedford. On October 4, 1956, he married Mary Lois Herline. They recently celebrated 58 years of marriage. He graduated from Bedford High School. In 1965, he relocated his family to the Milesburg area. He was the Manager of the meat department at BiLo Markets until he retired. After retiring he found enjoyment in driving coach bus for Mansun Transportation, Fullington Bus Co., and school bus for Bald Eagle Area School District. He enjoyed meeting people and finding new places to take bus trips. He was a devoted church member for many years, and most recently attended The Berean Bible Fellowship Church in Unionville. Because of his deep love for serving God and others, he volunteered actively in the churches he attended, and served in many different roles such as Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, Youth Leader, Royal Ranger leader, Usher, and Worship Leader. Some of the many enjoyments he found in life were playing guitar, watching old western movies, fishing, spending time with family and most importantly, reading God's Word. All who met him knew of his love for God and his family. His greatest legacy he passed to his daughters and his family was his unconditional love and his diligence in teaching them the hope of eternal life through Jesus. He lived his life as a Godly example for them to follow. Leo is survived by his wife, Mary Lois; and his daughters, Lucinda, wife of James Raynor Sr., of Julian, Lori, wife of Rev. B. Jeffrey Trawinski, of Milesburg, and Hope, wife of Jim Frey, of Bellefonte; by his grandchildren, Rebecca and husband Fabrizio Uragano, James Raynor Jr. and his wife Jenna, Carrina Trawinski, Jacob Frey and Meredith Frey. His sister, Lillian Biddle, of Dunedin, Fla., also survives him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Miller and his sisters Hattie Faupel, Janet Wertz, and Hilda Gordon. A celebration of his life will be held at the Dean K Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring Street, Milesburg, on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 12:00 noon. Rev. B Jeffrey Trawinski and Rev. Jack Palmer officiating. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at the Advent Cemetery. Dearest Hope & Family,
Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy and prayers as you grieve this tremendous and heartbreaking loss. If the family he leaves behind is any indication, he was clearly a wonderful, kind, and good man.
May your fond and fun memories of him sustain you as you adjust to life without him, and may you find peace in the knowledge that you all have a wonderful guardian angel in your pocket.
Much Love & Sympathy,
Nancy & Nick English
