Jane Fitzgerald

Jane Betty (Morse) Fitzgerald, of Randolph, formerly of Dorchester, passed away November 19, 2013 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of James R. Fitzgerald. Loving mother of James R. Fitzgerald Jr. and his wife Ruth of Green Harbor, and Nancy J. Arabian and her husband Frank of Taunton. Devoted sister of Velma Twomey of CA, the late Harriette Morse, Shirley Bramm, and William Morse. Dear grandmother of Michelle (Arabian) Morin, Liegh (Arabian) Mitzan, Eric Arabian, Danielle (Arabian) Marchand, Deborah Fitzgerald, Donna (Fitzgerald) Miranda, Jayme (Fitzgerald) Moore and late Frank Arabian. Also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter. Betty was born in Bridgeport, CT, grew up in Dorchester and has lived in Randolph for the past 58 years. She was the First Assistant Administrator for the Town of Randolphs Sewer Dept. where she had worked for over 30 years. She was also a longtime volunteer at the Randolph Senior Center where she helped with the Meals on Wheels Program until the age of 91, volunteered for the Red Cross and was a former member of the Randolph Amvets Post 51, Auxiliary. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass Friday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Randolph. Burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Life Care Activity Fund, c/o Life Care Center of Raynham, 546 South Street East, Raynham, MA 02767.
