John DiTullio Obituary

John T. DiTullio, age 94, of Holbrook, died peacefully, Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at the Alliance HealthCare Center at Braintree. He was born, raised, and educated in Quincy. John had lived in Holbrook for over fifty-five years, previously living in Quincy. John was employed as a painter and belonged to Painters Local 577 for over sixty-five years. He enjoyed dancing and was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan. John also made countless trips to the casinos where he especially enjoyed playing blackjack. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy I. (Putnam) DiTullio. Devoted son of the late Thomas and Filomena (DiNanno) DiTullio. John was the loving brother of Nellio DiTullio and his wife Shirley of Quincy and was predeceased by Louis DiTullio, Hazel Mancini, Susan DiTullio, Andy DiTullio, Victor DiTullio and Peter DiTullio. Dear uncle of Donna R. Lowd and her husband Christopher of Hanover as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass in Saint Josephs Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy, Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 10 oclock. Visiting at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy from 8:30 | 9:30 a.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. A life well lived. We will miss John, I remember 15 years ago when we moved to Holbrook,I was nicely greeted at our backyard fence with John,tomatoes in hand,to welcome us into the neighborhood.Our condolences, The Sherrick Family
