Norma J. Fleming

1925 - 2018

Norma Jean Edgehill Fleming passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, at the age of 93. She was married to her beloved Bill (deceased) for 66 years. She was a devoted mother to W. Jefferies Fleming and his wife Sandra, of Naples, Florida and Steven B. Fleming and his wife Anne of Duxbury, MA. Loving grandmother to Ryan J. Fleming of Penn Valley, PA and Kristin Dolezal and her husband Tim of Erie, CO. William Fleming of Burlington, VT and Christopher Fleming of Duxbury, MA. A dear great grandmother to Charlie, Jake, Tanner and Amelia. Norma was born August 1, 1925 in Wellesley, MA, educated at Dana Hall School and attended Bryn Mawr college in Pennsylvania. She lived the last five years in Plymouth, MA, near her children. Her life was filled with joy, living many years in Marion, MA and sailing the coast of New England with her husband Bill and their many friends. There were numerous trips to Vermont for cross-country skiing with her children and grandchildren, her bel- oved sister Nancy Perry and her husband Roger of Wellesley, and their children. She was very involved in the First Congregational Church of Marion, singing in the choir, and running many a bake sale. She was also a member of the Marion Garden Club and was a volunteer for many organizations including Hospice care. She will be greatly missed. There will be a memorial service in the Spring of 2019.
