Constance Norcross Obituary

Constance V. (Murphy) Norcross, 78, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, May 9, 2010, at home. Born in Boston to the late Edward D. Murphy and Marie Louise (Johnston) Murphy, Connie was the wife for 59 years of Robert A. Norcross, who predeceased her in 2005. She leaves two sons, Ken of Norwood, married to Kris, and Bob Jr. of Newton, married to Dot. She also leaves two sisters, Joan Parkinson of Pinehurst, N.C., and Diane Capstaff of Marblehead, married to Art. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Alaine and Andrew, both of Newton, Jodie of Worcester, Lindsay of Falmouth, Laura Godfrey of Natick, married to Christopher, Karen Price of Brighton, married to Joseph, Sarah Ehrhorn of Fairless Hills, Pa., married to George, and Kathryn Mackey of Brookline, married to Daniel. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Jonathan Godfrey, Sarah Godfrey and George Ehrhorn V. Connie spent her early years in Brookline and Newton, and was a resident of Wayland for the past 53 years. She was a graduate of Jackson Van Lowden School of Boston, a past manager of the Weston office of R. M. Bradley Real Estate Co., and a regional representative of Windstar Cruises. Connie loved to travel, especially to Venice, Italy. At the request of her family, there will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 21, at 3 p.m., at the Annisquam Village Church, 820 Washington St., Gloucester. In lieu of flowers, Connie and her family would appreciate gifts in Connies memory be sent to the Lindsay Norcross Supplemental Needs Trust, c/o Kenneth E. and Kristen Norcross, 174 Lane Drive, Norwood, MA 02062. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home of Wayland (www.johncbryantfuneralhome.com).
