I had Vinny as my Mechanical Drawing Instructor at Weymouth High School, Class of 1970. He was the best!
Years later he spoke at an event at the Middle School next to the Town Hall and they brought me forward to sit with him. It was my great pleasure to see him again. I was proud to tell him that his influence encouraged me to join the Weymouth Police Department.
The last time that I saw him was at a Memorial Day event at the Veteran´s Memorial.
Vin was a great and dedicated person and teacher and I look forward to seeing him again one day in God´s Kingdom.

I remember in 9th grade he was subbing my world history class and he talked about how guys with long hair never looked good in it, but he said I was the exception to that. He was really funny and good spirited guy! I'll miss him.

Dear DiSessa family, I was heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of such a wonderful man as Mr. Vincent DiSessa. He was a true inspiration to all generations from young to old. His love towards the young people especially and the town of Weymouth will never be forgotten! I was blessed to have known him and to have spent time talking with him about the importance of our young people and how they are our future! I am certain that he is peacefully in heaven with our Lord as he has done God's work his whole life! May God bless him, his family, and everyone who was fortunate enough to have known
Mr. DiSessa.
Sincerely,
Jim Bowen WPD Retired

To Mr. DiSessa's family - I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad and that I am away and can't make the services. What an amazing man, educator and dear, dear friend to my parents. I treasure the stories of your dad, my dad, Jim Conti and others from Everett High School and having coffee with your parents on their frequent visits to our cape house over the summer. He was truly part of the greatest generation. It broke my heart when he came to my Dad's wake this past January. He was so sweet to come all that way to pay his respects for his dear friend Frank and for my Mom. God Bless him and may he rest in peace.

i am crying as I type this because Mr. DiSessa was such a genuinely good soul who subbed for me many times not only when i taught home economics, but also when I taught English, and he was the only substitute teacher whom ALL of my students loved and RESPECTED...how could they not, when he was someone they all revered as their grandparents' age??? If, indeed, there is a heaven, Vin must be there!

To Vin's family.... I knew Vin through working in the Weymouth School Dept. Vin was a wonderful, thoughtful, amazing person. My condolences to you all.
